Thank you for this application which is extremely useful.
I installed the desktop version on a windows 10 station.
The program does not work if it's not ran as administrator (it returns error messages when performing a search or when trying to update the index). When I run it as admin, it works flawlessly.
However, I cannot manage to have it start with admin privileges at startup.
Windows Task Manager does not want to run it, so I cannot use it to have it run as startup. I've modified the Registry in Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers with the value RUNASADMIN and then added it to the Startup folder in the Start menu, or to the Run folder in the Registry. In both cases, Regain simply does not start at startup.
Both techniques (Task Manager and the registry entries) work with other applications, so it seems something specific to Regain.
Did anybody have the same problem, and/or have an idea about the solution?
Thank you and best regards,
