Is stemming supported in regain? I noticed the Porter algorithm is in the crawler jar. Any direction on how to incorporate stemming of search results?

Yes. Stemming is supported. However you already set the stemming when indexing. This is done in the CrawlerConfiguration.xml by the analyzer-Tag.
